Capital Grants 2026
The Capital Grants 2026 scheme is expected to open for applications on the 30th of July, if you have not already done so, now is the time to start planning potential projects. Defra has confirmed that demand for the scheme is expected to be high and that applications will close once the available funding has been allocated. Only one eligible application can be submitted per SBI each calendar year, making it particularly important to identify priorities and prepare a well-thought-out application from the outset.
The 2026 offer includes funding across six categories:
Many farms and estates have opportunities to secure grant funding for projects that can deliver both environmental and operational benefits, including fencing, water quality improvements, boundary restoration, hedgerow planting, yard improvements and natural flood management measures. Taking the time now to review potential projects and develop a strategic plan can help maximise available funding.
Moundsmere Estate Management are ready to help clients to identify suitable opportunities and prepare applications ahead of the opening date. We can help assess your eligibility, develop a programme of works, prepare maps and supporting evidence, and manage the application process from start to finish. If you would like to discuss the opportunities available on your farm or estate, please get in touch!
