What documents do I need?
Typically:
- Photo ID (e.g. passport)
- Proof of address
- Proof of income or employment
- References from previous landlords
- Proof you have the right to rent in the UK, i.e. passport, visa, share code or biometric card
Is my deposit protected?
Yes. If you're on an assured shorthold tenancy (AST), your deposit will be placed in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme (My Deposits) within 30 days.
