As well as the more traditional Agri-environment schemes administered by DEFRA and the RPA, such as Countryside Stewardship Mid tier and Higher tier and the Sustainable Farming Incentive, there are a number of alternative opportunities for Capital grant funding too.

Public Funding
Countryside Stewardship Capital Items
Capital items are available under four categories, all aimed at helping those in agriculture and in SFI or CS agreements, to successfully carry out farming practises and agreement actions. New spending caps have been introduced, and the grant should be reopened later this year for new applications.
Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL)
Open to farmers and landowners in National Landscapes and National Parks, the environmental ambitions in this programme are aimed towards supporting nature recovery and mitigating the impact of climate change. The funding is also used towards providing opportunities in a rural landscape and improving and protecting the quality and character of the landscape within which the rural business sits.
Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF)
This grants provides opportunities for farmers to access machinery and equipment without experiencing the full financial burden.
Improving Farm Productivity grant
This grant is available to individuals who have been invited to collaborate with farmers to enhance farm and horticulture productivity
Animal Health and Welfare grants
As part of the Animal Health and Welfare Pathway, for those with an Improve Animal Health and Welfare (IAHW) agreement and receive funding for farm visits. These visits are aimed at reducing endemic disease and conditions, increase animal productivity and improving animal welfare. There are two parts from this veterinary visit, the animal health and welfare review and the endemic disease follow-up.
England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO)
This offer supports the production of woodland in England. Areas as small as 1 hectare are eligible and methods such as natural colonisation are accepted. There are five different methods of payments to support those with a EWCO agreement, including helping with the initial set up costs, maintenance costs and support in return for providing more specialised benefits.
Private Funding
Water company grants
There are multiple ways to access private funding from water companies including joining schemes to reduce nitrate leaching into groundwater, receiving support for regenerative farming practises and encouragement to extract, use and store surface and groundwater sustainably.
